MARCARINI PROPOSES A SENSORY WORKSHOP IN LA MORRA
After the success of our movable wine tasting, we're back again with another initiative scheduled for Sunday, September 18 in the Marcarini winery of La Morra. this time, train your sense of smell with a sensory workshop that will guide you through the discovery of great wines of the Langhe and Roero. Prepare your noses!
On Sunday, September 18, Marcarini proposes a sensory workshop that will take place in the tasting room of La Morra (CN). It will include a visit of the historic wine cellars and a tasting of three wines from our winery:
The sensory workshop will consist of discerning specific aromas that will be given to participants in small, covered, breathable containers. Each participant will have pen and paper and will be invited to write down the aromas they perceived within a short time frame. At the end of this scent “exam,” the participant who guesses all the smells correctly wins a prize! The object of the game is to train your sense of smell, and begin attuning it to the unique scents of the wine world.
After the workshop, there will be a tasting of three of our wines with a detailed description of each, with extra attention given to the aromas and the scent-flavor component. There will also be information about the vineyards the wines come from, and their methods of wine-making. The tasting will be accompanied with handmade grissini and Piemonte IGP Hazelnuts from Marcarini.
The sensory workshop is limited to a maximum of 12 participants. It will be available on Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Italian, and will last from about 4 pm to 6 pm.
Participants will meet in front of the Marcarini Wine Shop in Via Umberto I, 34 – 12064 La Morra (CN). Please be on time.
The cost of the activity is €20 per person, to be paid on the day of the activity (cash, credit card, or bancomat accepted).
